CICOPS Research Scholarships 2027

The CICOPS Scholarship is a fully funded fellowship that supports visiting scholars from developing countries to conduct short-term research at the University of Pavia, Italy (4–12 weeks). It aims to promote international cooperation and partnerships in research by enabling mobility of researchers from developing countries. Selected scholars receive funding for travel, accommodation, meals, health insurance, and a weekly stipend, plus visa-related support.

Applicants must reside in a World Bank low-income, lower-middle, or upper-middle income economy, hold a PhD by the deadline, be employed for at least two years by a university or equivalent institution, have at least two authored publications, and must not be enrolled in a doctoral/postgraduate program in Italy.

Identify a University of Pavia professor, obtain an invitation letter, complete the online application form and upload CV and invitation letter.
