Stanley Ray Scholarship 2026

The Stanley Ray Scholarship is a postgraduate research scholarship at the University of Birmingham for PhD students in the College of Arts and Law. It provides funding to support tuition costs and maintenance, with different forms of support for Home and International students, and is available from September 2026. The scholarship is open to both Home and International applicants worldwide and requires application to a campus-based postgraduate research programme in the College of Arts and Law.

£10,000 per year for full-time postgraduate research students; £5,000 per year for part-time postgraduate research students; Home students receive tuition fee coverage plus small monthly maintenance; International students receive a tuition fee discount.

Open to all Home and International applicants worldwide who are starting a campus-based postgraduate research programme in the College of Arts and Law in September 2026.
