Information

The NYC Mayor’s Scholarship Program (MSP) offers undergraduate scholarships for full-time New York City government employees to pursue an associate or bachelor’s degree at participating colleges and universities while remaining employed by the city. Participating institutions fund the scholarships and select recipients based on scholastic ability, leadership, and experience. The program is open to eligible NYC government employees who have completed high school and intend to study while in service.

Eligibility

Applicants must be full-time NYC government employees, have completed a high school diploma or equivalent by the start of the scholarship year, remain a full-time NYC government employee throughout the course of study, and stay in good standing while attending classes on their own time.

Application

Submit a complete package including applications and required essays to your Agency Personnel Office by the deadline; individual schools make admission decisions.
