About this opportunity

The Constitutional Court of South Africa invites applications for Law Clerk positions for 2027. Each Justice is assisted by two Law Clerks who conduct legal research for their respective Justice. Appointments are made for the periods January 2025 to December 2026 or July 2025 to June 2026 depending on each Justice’s requirements.

Eligibility

Applicants must be a South African citizen with a Matric plus an LLB degree or a four-year legal qualification (or equivalent/postgraduate) and be in the final year of such degree; demonstrated interest in constitutional law and analytical capability are required.

How to apply

Submit a completed application including Z83 form, cover letter, CV, copies of qualifications, ID, letters of recommendation, and a written sample; applications must be sent by the specified channels to the Office of the Chief Justice.
