Yale Young African Scholars Program 2026

The Yale Young African Scholars (YYAS) Program 2026 is a fully funded academic enrichment programme hosted by Yale University for outstanding African secondary school students. It aims to develop leadership, academic preparation, and guidance for university admissions and financial aid applications, through rigorous coursework and mentorship. The program includes an online college prep workshop and a residential leadership summit with additional activities and support.

Intensive academic enrichment and leadership training, mentorship throughout the university application process, and guidance on admissions and financial aid applications; access to a network of young African leaders.

Open to African secondary school students aged 14-18 on program dates, who are citizens or permanent residents of African countries and currently attending school in Africa.

Complete the online application form, submit required documents and essays, and pay the application fee.
