DW Akademie International Media Studies (IMS) Scholarship Program 2026

The DW Akademie International Media Studies (IMS) Program is a full-time, four-semester master's degree designed to equip media professionals with advanced skills in journalism, communication science, media development, and media management. The program combines research, lectures, and practical experience to prepare participants for careers in the media and communications industries. It is a joint program of the University of Bonn, the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences and DW Akademie, conducted in Bonn, Germany, with scholarships available for highly qualified candidates from developing countries.

Master’s degree; potential internship in the student’s home country (for scholarship recipients); access to advanced academic and practical training in media and communications

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and have at least one year of media-related work experience after completing their first degree. Proof of advanced English language proficiency is required. Priority is given to applicants from developing and emerging countries.
