Physicians of Tomorrow Medical School Scholarships 2026

The AMA Foundation Physicians of Tomorrow Scholarship Program provides tuition assistance scholarships to medical students entering their final year of training. The program supports students with academic excellence, leadership, service, resilience, and commitment to healthcare, awarding scholarships across more than 15 categories. Each awardee receives financial support toward final-year tuition and national recognition, plus access to a network of physicians and mentors.

Tuition assistance of $10,000, national recognition from the AMA Foundation, and access to a network of physicians, mentors, and leaders.

Applicants must be medical students entering their final year in 2026 and enrolled in an accredited U.S. medical school, meeting the specific criteria of their scholarship category.

Applications must be submitted through the official OpenWater online portal; required materials include academic documentation, personal statement, letters of recommendation, enrollment and graduation verification.
