The FAO Regional Office for Africa (RAF) Internship Program provides young professionals with an opportunity to gain practical experience in areas related to FAO’s work, including global food security and sustainable agriculture. Interns will support FAO’s Strategic Framework and gain exposure to an international work environment and professional networking opportunities. The program lasts from 3 to 11 months and offers a monthly stipend for interns not sponsored by their university or another institution.

Eligibility

Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at the time of application (or a recent graduate), specialize in a field relevant to FAO’s work, have working knowledge of at least one FAO language, be nationals of FAO Members, and be aged between 21 and 30.
