Mandela Scholarship Fund – Leiden University

The Mandela Scholarship Fund supports students from four South African partner universities to study at Leiden University in the Netherlands for one or two semesters as part of an exchange programme. The award provides a living allowance and insurance for the duration of the exchange and enables study across multiple faculties at Leiden University.

Living allowance and health insurance during the exchange; one or two semesters of study abroad at Leiden University.

Applicants must be enrolled at one of four South African partner universities and pre-selected by their home university for the scholarship, meeting Leiden University's admission requirements for exchange/study abroad students.

Submit scholarship application to the home university, apply online for admission to Leiden University’s exchange/study abroad program, and await confirmation from Leiden’s Scholarships Team if selected.
