Rolls-Royce Sponsored PhD Scholarship – University of Nottingham

The Rolls-Royce PhD Scholarship is a three-year, fully funded PhD program hosted at the Rolls-Royce University Technology Centre at the University of Nottingham, focusing on Manufacturing Technology and On-Wing Technology. It combines academic research with industrial training and is funded by Rolls-Royce. The project centers on micromechanics and materials analysis of advanced aerospace materials used in manufacturing processes.

Full tuition fee coverage for three years; tax-free stipend of approximately £19,237 per year; industrial training within Rolls-Royce; joint supervision; potential teaching opportunities.

Applicants must hold a first or upper-second class degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, materials science, or physics and be UK-domiciled; graduates must be available by July 2025.
