Youth Training in Agribusiness

The Youth in Agribusiness training program is implemented by the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) with support from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Nigeria. It aims to equip young people with practical agribusiness skills, focusing on yam production and related value chain opportunities. The program targets youths aged 18–35, including new entrants and existing farmers or aspiring agripreneurs, with hands-on training and follow-up support.

Practical training in Leave Bud Technology for yam seed production; access to improved yam varieties; business opportunities and market linkage; post-training support for yam farm owners; transport reimbursement for registered participants.
