Information

Applications are open for the Africa CDC/AVMI Industrial Fellowship Programme in Vaccine Manufacturing 2026. The programme is designed to equip recent graduates with the competencies in Vaccine R&D and Vaccine Manufacturing, and to provide hands-on experience in vaccine manufacturing over 1 year with a focus on current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Fellows will be placed at an active vaccine manufacturing institution in Egypt, Senegal, or South Africa.

Return flights to the fellowship site, stipend for daily expenses, visa fees, visa documentation, hands-on experience in vaccine manufacturing over 1 year.

Eligibility

Recent graduates (not more than 3 years) in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or Biomanufacturing/vaccine manufacturing; African Union citizen; valid passport; English or French proficiency; available to participate in one of the listed countries.
