COAL Prize 2026

The COAL Prize 2026 invites artists to develop projects around the theme of night and to defend the night as a common good. The prize provides a grant and a residency to the winning artist, with additional support for a Special Jury Prize and other mentions. Proposals are judged on artistic value, originality, pedagogy, social engagement, eco-design, feasibility, and collaboration with nature conservation actors.

A €12,000 grant and a residency at the Domaine de Belval; additional prize money for special mentions and residencies as described.

Open to artists from around the world.
