SEAREG Predoctoral Fellowship 2025-2026

The SEAREG Predoctoral Fellowship provides a modest grant and mentorship to aspiring scholars from Southeast Asia applying to PhD programs in political science or closely related social science fields in the United States or Canada. Fellows receive a microgrant to defray graduate application costs, individualized mentorship, and an optional short-term RAship as available. A certificate of selection is awarded recognizing the fellow’s achievement and participation.

A $1,000 microgrant, individualized mentorship (up to three mentoring sessions), optional short-term RAship, and a certificate of selection.

Applicants must be residents of a Southeast Asian country, have completed an undergraduate or master’s degree, and intend to apply for PhD programs beginning in Fall 2026.

Submit Personal Statement, Statement of Purpose, CV/Resume, unofficial transcript, list of intended PhD programs, and two PhD letter writers; optional writing sample.
