Women’s Impact Award 2026

The Women’s Impact Award recognises women who combine outstanding research with societal impact. It is a joint initiative by the Falling Walls Foundation and the Elsevier Foundation and is part of the Falling Walls Global Call for Science Breakthroughs. Winners gain international visibility, join a global network, and may present at the Falling Walls Science Summit in Berlin.

Get international visibility for a project; join the Falling Walls network; opportunity to participate in the Falling Walls Science Summit 2026; potential to become one of the Falling Walls Science Breakthroughs of the Year and present at the Summit in Berlin.

Applicants must be at postdoctoral level or above and lead or substantially contribute to a research project that combines scientific excellence with real-world impact; applications welcome from cis and trans women, genderqueer, and non-binary individuals.
