A week-long summer university covering main aspects of plasma physics with emphasis on nuclear fusion, including lectures on theory, diagnostics, plasma-wall interaction, and ITER. The course is aimed at physics and engineering students who have completed their undergraduate (bachelor) studies and have not yet started or decided on a PhD project. The programme includes lectures in English, opportunities for discussions with lecturers and students, and a tour of the Wendelstein 7-X experiment. The venue is the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Greifswald, Germany.

Eligibility

Designed for physics and engineering students who have completed their bachelor (undergraduate) studies and have not yet started nor decided their PhD project; only students studying at a university located in a European country are eligible.
