Summer Undergraduate Research in Engineering (SURE)

SURE offers 10-12 week full-time summer research internships with Michigan faculty for outstanding current University of Michigan undergraduate students. Participants conduct research in engineering disciplines, receive mentorship from a faculty advisor, and engage in activities to prepare for graduate study. Accepted applicants receive a stipend and attend regular program meetings. Projects typically begin in May.

Faculty advisor mentorship in a College of Engineering research facility, a $6,000 stipend, regular meetings, and activities to prepare students for graduate school.

Current University of Michigan undergraduate students who have completed their sophomore or junior year (preference to those who have completed three years of study) by the time of their internship.
