Information

The Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship is a six-month fellowship for women and nonbinary journalists from any country, focused on human rights and social justice issues. Fellows spend a semester at MIT and The Boston Globe, audit classes at related institutions, and then spend two months interning at The New York Times in New York City. The program provides a living stipend, housing, round-trip airfare, health insurance, and visa cost coverage.

Eligibility

Open to women, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming journalists with at least three years of full-time, professional journalism experience.

Application

A complete application includes biography, résumé/CV, statement of interest, fellowship goals, two work samples on human rights or social justice issues, and two letters of recommendation (in English).
