Information

A travel grant program administered by the CUR Biology Division to help undergraduates attend discipline-specific meetings and interact with primary researchers. Awards prioritize students presenting at discipline-specific meetings; abstracts submitted to conferences focused on underrepresented populations (e.g., SACNAS, ABRCMS, AISES) are also considered. Grants provide financial assistance to support meeting attendance. Confirmation of attendance and presentation is required to receive funding.

Benefits

Travel funding up to $250 to support attendance at a discipline-specific meeting.

Eligibility

Applicant must be an undergraduate student at a two- or four-year institution; graduating seniors are eligible if travel is completed within three months of graduation. The student's mentor must be a CUR member or the student's home institution must hold CUR institutional membership; the meeting must be discipline-specific or focused on underrepresented populations.

Application

Complete and submit the online application form; confirmation of attendance and presentation at the meeting is required to receive funding.
