DMM Conference Travel Grants

Conference travel grants for early-career researchers to attend scientific meetings, conferences, workshops and training courses relating to the areas of research covered by the journal Disease Models & Mechanisms. Applications may be for virtual or in-person events and funding is intended to support travel, registration and associated expenses. Applicants are normally PhD students and post-doctoral researchers, but independent group leaders and PIs with no independent funding may also apply.

Financial support up to £300 (home country) or £500 (overseas) for registration, travel, subsistence, accommodation and visa fees.

Applicants will usually be PhD students and post-doctoral researchers at the beginning of their research careers; independent group leaders and PIs with no independent funding are also welcome to apply. The fund cannot pay awards to recipients in jurisdictions subject to UN, EU or UK sanctions, embargoes or political trade restrictions.

Submit an online application via the grants portal and upload supporting documents in English (supervisor or Head of Department letter, justification, abstract, CV).
