About this opportunity
The Blavatnik Regional Awards for Young Scientists recognize outstanding postdoctoral scientists at institutions in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut across Life Sciences, Physical Sciences & Engineering, and Chemical Sciences. Laureates receive monetary awards and finalists receive smaller unrestricted cash prizes. Honorees are selected by a jury of distinguished scientists and are celebrated at an annual ceremony in New York City. Nominations are made by invited institutions in the tri-state area.
Benefits & funding
Laureates receive $30,000 each; two Finalists in each disciplinary category receive $10,000 each (unrestricted cash prizes).
Eligibility
Postdoctoral scientists from institutions in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut working in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences & Engineering, or Chemical Sciences; nominations are accepted from an invited group of research universities, independent research institutions, academic medical centers, and government laboratories in those states.
