Information

A materials science-based summer day camp for high school students entering their junior year, hosted by the University of Washington Department of Materials Science & Engineering. The program combines mini-demonstrations, field trips, hands-on laboratory work using scientific instruments, and team-based problem-solving under the guidance of materials researchers and mentors. It runs as a daytime program on the UW Seattle campus. The final days focus on an intensive, team-based science challenge led by Materials Mentors.

Eligibility

Must be a sophomore (10th grade) during the current academic year and attend high school in the greater Seattle area; U.S. citizenship is not required.
