A two-year dissertation fellowship from the Simons Foundation MPS division providing research support to excellent graduate students in the final years of their Ph.D. studies. The grant commences September 1, 2026 and is intended to cover the fourth and fifth years of the Fellow’s Ph.D. program. The award provides annual research support, discretionary departmental funds, and indirect costs.

Benefits

$15,000 per year in research support; $1,000 per year discretionary departmental funds; $3,200 per year for indirect costs (20%). Total $38,400 over two years.

Eligibility

Graduate students in the final years of their Ph.D. studies in mathematics.
