Information

A National Science Foundation-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates hosted by the Department of Astronomy at the University of Florida for Summer 2026. The program places students on computationally and data-intensive astrophysics projects across topics such as galaxy formation, cosmology, exoplanets, star formation and compact objects. Participants receive a stipend, campus housing, and professional development and social activities. The program runs approximately from the last week of May through the first week of August (dates tentative).

Benefits

A $6000 stipend for the 10-week summer, UF dorm housing, professional development activities (orientation, GRE prep, presentation development) and social activities.

Eligibility

Undergraduate students; applications are encouraged from all interested students regardless of previous training in astronomy.

Application

Submit Part 1 as a single PDF (specified contents and filename format) uploaded to the provided Dropbox request link, and complete Part 2 via the provided Google Forms survey; both parts must be completed by the deadline.
