NSRI Summer Research Hackathon 2026

A five-day global virtual research sprint for high school and undergraduate students across six research tracks. Participants work solo or in teams to build an original research project, submit a written research brief, and compete in judged rounds culminating in a live Grand Finale. The event is fully virtual and runs from July 13 to July 18, 2026, with top teams presenting live on July 25, 2026. Prizes, judge feedback, and visibility on NSRI channels are awarded to top teams.

Baseline prize pool of $1,000; detailed scorecard feedback for every top-100 team; winners featured on NSRI website and social channels; opportunity to present at a live Grand Finale.

Open to students worldwide, primarily high school students and undergraduates. Individuals may register and be matched to a team or join with a team of one to four members; no prior research experience is required.
