BIO4 AI Hackathon

The BIO4 AI Hackathon is a team challenge held as part of the BelBi 2026 conference, focused on applying bioinformatics and artificial intelligence to biodiversity, biotechnology and biomedicine. Teams of 4-5 students or recent graduates bring an existing project, dataset, prototype or scientific idea to develop over two competition days. Participants receive mentoring during the event and present concepts, prototypes or early demos for evaluation. The event includes an awards ceremony and grants all selected teams access to the BelBi 2026 conference programme.

Pre-formed teams of 4-5 members composed of students at all levels and recent graduates (those completing their studies within no more than 6 months prior to application), ideally with complementary knowledge in natural sciences and computational disciplines.
