Casa África Purorrelato Micro-story Competition 2026

The Casa África Purorrelato Micro-story Competition 2026 is a contest organized by Casa África to promote literary creation related to Africa. The theme is free, with micro-stories relating to Africa in some way, potentially set inside or outside the continent. The contest offers monetary awards and may include runners-up prizes or special mentions for high placements.

First prize 750 euros, second prize 375 euros, third prize 225 euros; potential runners-up prizes or special mentions for 4th–6th place

Any person over the age of 18 can participate, with a maximum of three micro-stories per author. Exclusions apply to Casa África staff and winners of previous editions.

Submit micro-stories in Spanish, English, French or Portuguese via Mundo Arti platform, with an attached application form and required identity documents.
