Information

A four-week Summer Biology Research Workshop providing high-school students with hands-on experience in biological research within laboratories of the Department of Biological Sciences at UT Dallas. The program includes one week of intensive lab training followed by three weeks of mentor-guided discovery research, participation in departmental seminars, and a final research presentation. Students work in teams with graduate student mentors and faculty on defined research projects. The workshop runs in early June through early July 2026.

Eligibility

Students in 10th, 11th and 12th grades; must be above the age of 15 years at the time of registration (June 1, 2026); complete requirements of the Office of the Program for Minors at UT Dallas; 100% attendance required during the 4 weeks.

Application

Submit application within the Jan 22–Mar 15, 2026 window; accepted participants will be notified April 7, 2026 and receive registration and payment links; registration deadline April 15, 2026.
