Information

Code for Africa (CfA), through the Digitalise Youth consortium, is offering two fellowships to mid-career professionals with experience in digital governance, policy and rights who want to impact Africa’s AI landscape. Fellows will develop research and policy recommendations for the ethical adoption of AI tools in governance and civic technology sectors, and produce deliverables such as AI workplace policies and regulatory reports. Selected fellows will receive support from CfA’s networks and gain opportunities to present their capstone projects to partners and at events.

Benefits

Stipend of $500/month; mentorship from CfA’s TechLab and partner institutions; training on information integrity and digital security; opportunity to share recommendations with global partners; networking with regional networks; ability to showcase capstone projects at events.

Eligibility

Mid-career professionals with experience in digital governance, policy and rights; must be based in Africa (Sahel, and neighboring West and East Africa) and demonstrate commitment to African communities.
