About this opportunity
A five-day intensive summer school providing hands-on training in next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis and bioinformatics for experimental biologists. The course emphasizes practical skills (Linux, R, mapping, variant analysis, transcriptomics, databases) and culminates in a group project. Participants are encouraged to bring their own data for project work. A pre-configured virtual machine on a USB hard drive is provided for continued learning after the course.
Benefits & funding
Hands-on training in NGS/bioinformatics, a USB hard drive with a pre-configured virtual machine provided to participants, access to group project work and practical sessions on servers/HPCC.
Eligibility
Targets those with a specific interest in NGS data analysis and bioinformatics, particularly relevant for PhD students and postdocs from the life sciences; others (undergraduate/Master students, PIs) are invited to contact the organisers if unsure.
