TWAS Awards

The TWAS Awards recognise outstanding scientific contributions by individual scientists who have been working and living in a developing country for at least ten years. Nine awards are given in different fields of science. Each award carries a monetary prize and a plaque, and awardees are usually invited to receive the award at the TWAS General Meeting. The awards are presented on a biennial cycle.

Candidates must be scientists who have been working and living in a developing country for at least ten years immediately prior to their nomination; TWAS members and self-nominations are not eligible. Nominations must be submitted by members, academies, research councils, universities or scientific institutions and made on the online nomination form.
