Information

An eight-week international summer research program at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin where bachelor's and master's students work on projects with HZB scientists. The program runs on HZB campuses in Berlin and involves full-time engagement on a research topic. It is open to international applicants and is described as fully funded with allowances and travel support. There is no application fee and no IELTS requirement stated.

Benefits

Work closely with HZB scientists on a research project, an allowance (€1900 for non-European participants or €1000 for European participants), travel support (up to €800 / €200) and coverage of residence costs.

Eligibility

Open to bachelor’s and master’s students from all countries who have completed at least two years of full-time university coursework in fields such as Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Structural Biology, Mathematics, Engineering, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences or similar; applicants must be able to fully engage for the program duration, have good English communication skills and provide a recommendation letter.
