About this opportunity

An annual essay competition in philosophy for 15–18 year olds. Entrants submit an original English-language essay (max 1,200 words) responding to one of set questions. The winning essay will be published in the Think journal; shortlisted and longlisted entrants receive subscriptions and other prizes.

Eligibility

Authors of any nationality and based anywhere in the world who are aged between 15 and 18 years old by the closing date of the competition.

How to apply

Submit a Word document (titled surname then first name) by email to ThinkEssay@royalinstitutephilosophy.org with required personal and school details and answers to the listed questions; multiple submissions allowed but only one per topic will be considered.
