Diagnostic Laboratory Internship Program

A Diagnostic Laboratory Internship Program offering hands-on experience performing pre-analytical and lab assistant tasks to support technologists and laboratory scientists in specimen analysis. Interns work alongside experienced staff in high-volume laboratories, developing technical proficiency and attention to detail while participating in projects and presentations. The role provides insight into day-to-day responsibilities and the skills needed for careers in medical diagnostic, anatomical pathology, and clinical and forensic toxicology laboratories. Tasks include managing supplies and reagents, processing and aliquoting specimens, learning lab equipment and instrumentation, and maintaining accurate records.

Hands-on laboratory experience, development of technical skills and attention to detail, participation in projects and presentations, exposure to lab equipment and instrumentation, insight into professional laboratory roles.

Students pursuing undergraduate degrees in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science (CLS/MLS), Biological Sciences, Chemistry, and Toxicology.
