Economics Olympiad African Challenge 2026

The Economics Olympiad African Challenge 2026 is a multi-stage educational competition for high school students across Africa to showcase economic knowledge and qualify for the International Final Round. Stages include an online multiple-choice exam and an oral examination, with top performers advancing to the International Final Round in Ancient Olympia, Greece. Qualifying students receive full scholarships to attend the international final. The programme is organised under the International Economics Olympiad umbrella.

Full scholarship for those who qualify to the International Final Round covering airfare, local transportation, and room and board.

Applicants must be aged between 14 and 20, enrolled in high school or equivalent secondary education, and come from an African country that does not have a national Economics Olympiad organiser.

Register online before the registration deadline; students under 18 require a parent or guardian to complete registration on their behalf.
