The UNESCO 3rd Global MAB Youth Forum 2026 is a youth-oriented forum organized under UNESCO's Man and the Biosphere Programme. It invites young people aged 18–35 connected to UNESCO Biosphere Reserves to participate in a competitive, globally-attended event aimed at advancing youth engagement with biodiversity conservation, climate action, and sustainable development. Food and accommodation costs in Italy are covered by the organizers, with limited potential travel support depending on funding availability and eligibility criteria.

Eligibility

Young people aged 18–35 who are actively engaged in or connected to UNESCO Biosphere Reserves may apply via two pathways: National MAB Youth Focal Points or an Open Call for MAB Youth Participants.

Application

Two pathways: national MAB Youth Focal Points officially designated by national committees, or open call applicants with endorsement from a Biosphere Reserve or National MAB Committee.
