About this opportunity

A 10-week summer research fellowship for Stanford undergraduates to work on faculty-led, policy-relevant economics research and develop research skills. Participants are matched with SIEPR faculty mentors, attend in-person meetings and seminars, and prepare a final presentation. The program runs June 22 - August 28, 2026 and includes on-campus in-person activities. Students work approximately 35 hours per week on research projects.

Fellowship stipend of $8500, faculty mentoring, participation in seminars and meetings, and a final presentation opportunity.

Eligibility

Participants must be current Stanford undergraduates during the summer quarter; coterm students and seniors are eligible only if their bachelor’s degree will not be conferred before the end of the research appointment. Coterm students in the graduate tuition group, students serving a suspension, and students on a leave of absence during Summer quarter are not eligible.
