Information

Applications are open for a 3-year PhD bursary under the MESCAL Project in Marine Science 2026. The project collaborates with KMFRI, IRD, and MARBEC to study how Marine Protected Areas along the East African coast can enhance fish populations’ resilience to climate change, with research conducted in Kenya, France, and partner countries. The successful candidate will split time between KMFRI in Mombasa and MARBEC in France, with work travel to South Africa and Tanzania; the bursary covers stipend, health insurance and travel costs.

Eligibility
