The Korean Government Scholarship (GKS) 2026 is a fully funded scholarship for international students to study in South Korea, offered via two tracks (Embassy Track and University Track). It covers tuition, airfare, living allowance, health insurance and a one-year Korean language course, and includes special language proficiency bonuses. The programme admits applicants from around the world and places emphasis on research and R&D disciplines in the university track.

Eligibility
Applicants and their parents must be of non-Korean nationality; applicants must be under 40 years of age (born after September 1, 1986). For Master's applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or expect to graduate by July 31, 2026; for PhD applicants must hold a Master’s degree. GPA must be 80% or higher or in the top 20% of class.
How to apply
Two tracks: Embassy Track (apply via embassies; 800 seats) and University Track (apply to a university; 1,200 seats). Applications are submitted digitally through the 'Study in Korea' website; paper documents are not required in the initial stage for most countries.
