About this opportunity
The Summer Linguistic Institute for Youth Scholars (SLIYS) is a short summer program that introduces high school students to linguistics through daily live sessions. The program includes lectures, fieldwork with native speakers, and experimental components that expose participants to phonetics, morphology, syntax and language documentation. SLIYS 1 covers foundational topics; SLIYS 2 covers more advanced topics and is open only to those who have completed SLIYS 1.
