Information

The Jochen Liedtke Young Researcher Award recognizes junior researchers who have demonstrated creativity and innovation in systems research. It is awarded annually at the EuroSys conference. The award includes a cash prize donated by ABB. Candidates are selected by a committee based on impact, creativity and promise of lasting contributions.

Eligibility

Candidates must be nominated (self-nominations not accepted). A candidate must have received their Ph.D. no more than 10 years before the date of nomination (extensions possible for qualified career breaks). The candidate must have spent a significant fraction of their career in Europe and at the time of nomination must be employed by a European institution; there is no restriction on nationality. Members of the selection committee and EuroSys officers are not eligible.

Application

Candidates must be nominated (no self-nominations). A nomination packet (nomination statement up to 500 words, CV, names/emails of three references, brief eligibility statement up to 250 words) and letters of recommendation must be sent to liedtke-award@eurosys.org by the deadline.
