Summer School 2026

A three-day, in-person summer school on Introduction to Systematic Reviews and other Evidence Synthesis held at the University of Galway. The course is tailored for beginners and those looking to refresh skills, combining interactive lectures, discussions and practical exercises. While focusing on health, the methods taught are applicable across multiple fields. Participants will learn to formulate questions, develop protocols, conduct searches, assess bias and apply synthesis methods.

Three days of hands-on training in systematic reviews and evidence synthesis, practical exercises, learning resources, opportunities to connect with peers and experts; limited reserved on-campus accommodation available (first come, first served) with shuttle service to the venue.

Beginners and those with some knowledge seeking to learn or refresh skills in evidence synthesis, including systematic review authors, guideline developers, health and social care professionals, academics, researchers, postgraduate students, policy and decision-makers, Evidence Synthesis Ireland Fellows and other professionals; anyone interested in evidence synthesis methods.
