Rijksmuseum Fellowship Programma

Fellows receive access to the museum's collections, library, laboratories and scientific staff, and can take part in workshops and excursions. The programme supports object‑oriented, high-quality academic research and aims to strengthen ties between the Rijksmuseum and universities. In the 2026–2027 academic year three fellowships are offered, each focused on different research areas.

Access to collections, library and laboratories; expertise of scientific staff; participation in workshops and excursions; financial support; travel grant (for some fellowships); possible residence in Haga Huis; presentation training; international alumni network.

Candidates with an international, independent, high-quality research proposal that can offer new perspectives on the Rijksmuseum's collection, history or activities are invited to apply.
