Information

A full-time, 10-week summer research internship for Stanford undergraduates to work on faculty-led design research projects across design and engineering domains. Participants work 35+ hours/week with faculty mentors, take a 1-unit research seminar, attend events, and present at the Design Research Fair. The program is intended to develop research skills, methods, evaluation, and technical communication in design-based research.

Benefits

Base stipend ($8,500) plus potential needs-based supplement (up to $1,500); research mentorship, 1-unit spring research seminar, attendance at special events, and presentation at the Fall Design Research Fair.

Eligibility

Only Stanford University undergraduates may apply; graduating seniors are not eligible for funding in the summer after degree conferral. Priority is given to students who have declared a major in Design.
