UN FAO Young Forest Champions Initiative 2026

The UN FAO Young Forest Champions Initiative invites youth to become champions under FAO’s AIM4Forests Programme. The initiative focuses on empowering young leaders to drive forest conservation efforts through mentorship, capacity development, and the use of advanced technologies. Ten young leaders per country will join a network to restore forests, monitor ecosystems, and build climate resilience.

Mentorship, training, access to innovative tools, project leadership experiences, and participation in a global network of changemakers.

To apply, you must be between 18 and 30 years old, a current university student or recent graduate, reside in Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Peru, Uganda, or Zambia, have English proficiency, and commit to full participation in 2026.
