About this opportunity
A small number of research internships for Stanford undergraduates in Summer 2026 to work closely with Linguistics faculty on faculty-led research. Interns work full time (40 hours/week for 10 weeks) and participate in bi-weekly meetings with faculty mentors. Interns submit a summary of findings and may present a poster at the annual Symposium of Undergraduate Research in Progress (SURP). Funding for the internships is provided by the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education (VPUE).

Eligibility
Only Stanford University undergraduates may apply; linguistics majors with relevant skills are given priority, but students from other majors may apply if they have the needed skills. The program is intended for juniors and sophomores and interns must be in good academic standing and have taken courses the faculty investigator considers relevant.
How to apply
Students are encouraged to talk with faculty mentors and submit their project preferences.
