A specialised one-week winter school exploring the scientific features of AI and the ethical and human rights issues arising from its use. The course combines lectures, document analysis, case studies, interactive debates and expert insights to examine topics such as algorithmic bias, explainability, accountability and international human rights law. It is intended to build interdisciplinary knowledge for participants working at the intersection of AI, ethics and human rights. The winter school is delivered in a hybrid format (Rome and online).

Designed for university students, postgraduates, PhD candidates, professionals, UN personnel, and AI enthusiasts interested in AI, ethics and human rights.
