An annual essay competition organised by the Law Society of Ireland in collaboration with A&L Goodbody LLP that invites students to research and propose measures to strengthen the rule of law in Ireland. It is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled at recognised third-level institutions in Ireland. The winning entry receives a one-month paid internship with a leading Irish law firm in Summer 2026 and a cash prize. Essays must be original, up to 1,500 words, and the use of generative AI tools is prohibited.

Eligibility
