Wedekind-Preis

The Wedekind-Preis is a literary prize for outstanding narrative or dramatic texts by young people. It is organised by the Aargauer Literaturhaus Lenzburg in cooperation with Alte Kanti Aarau. Selected authors read their texts at a public final and a jury awards the winners; awarded texts are published in the magazine sage&schreibe and on the Aargauer Literaturhaus website. The 2026 theme is “Ich mache nicht mehr mit.”

Monetary prizes: CHF 800 for Age Category I (15–17) and CHF 800 for Age Category II (18–20); Audience prize CHF 500. Awarded texts are published in sage&schreibe and on the Aargauer Literaturhaus website; finalists read at a public final.

Applicants must be resident in Switzerland and between 15 and 20 years old on 31 January 2026.

Submit an electronic doc or odt file by email to werkstaetten@aargauer-literaturhaus.ch including name, place of residence, date of birth and a written confirmation that the text was written without external help; texts are anonymised before jury review.
