Ceremoniplats – Norra kyrkogården Visby

A site-specific student design competition to develop an accessible and thoughtful outdoor ceremonial place for funerals and commemorations at Norra kyrkogården in Visby. It is organised for students in relevant SLU programmes and awards monetary prizes to top entries. The competition runs from October 2025 to March 2026 and includes a public presentation of winners in May 2026.

Prizes: 1st prize 10 000 kronor; 2nd and 3rd prizes 5 000 kronor each. Presentation of winners at SKKF’s national conference in Visby (11-12 May 2026).

Students enrolled in SLU’s programmes for garden/landscape engineering with a design focus, landscape engineers and landscape architects at Ultuna and Alnarp may participate.
